Care

There are many ways in which you can and should care for yourself the best you can to make life more pleasurable by minimizing the instance of accidental mishaps that can occur at any time and with surprising consequences.

In this section of the website, I focus on a variety of ways in which a person can take greater care of themselves at home or when out and about.

I also cover topics related to physical activity, the problems associated with limited mobility and some of the healthcare products that can help to alleviate some of those related problems.

Reduced Mobility

Mobility problems in people with disabilities and those of older age seem to increase the risk for the development of depressive symptoms.

While the risk is not necessarily associated with the level of physical activity, it can appear when there is less ability to conduct sufficient physical work or being forced to live a sedentary life-style not through choice.

What does a person with reduced mobility mean?

"Person with disabilities" or "person with reduced mobility" means:

"Any person whose mobility to use transport is reduced due to physical disability (sensory or locomotive, permanent or temporary), intellectual disability or impairment, or any other cause of disability, or age, and whose situation requires adequate attention and adaptation to their particular needs."
